“The Land of Smiles,” is such an appropriate title for this country as we found all Thai people were full of happiness and joy. I went with my best friend and his sister in December for 11 days, and aimed to explore as much of the country as possible within our short stay.
We began in Bangkok – the countries capital which is full of temples and traffic. We explored the many shrines, parks, palaces and the nightlife along with it’s most renowned food restaurants and street food the country offers.
Moving onto Phuket, we visited The Big Buddha, Chaithararam Temple – Wat Chalong, Karon View Point, Kata Beach and Patong Beach, which personally I preferred over Khao San’s nightlife.
Next, we headed to Koh Phi Phi for Christmas, a small island with no cars or roads and plenty of beautiful long beaches to choose from. It was the perfect place to relax or party to your own extent.
Lastly, we spent one day in Krabi, home to some of Thailand’s most beautiful nature reserves such as hot springs, waterfalls, hills and beaches. We also managed to climb 1237 steps to the top of the Tiger Cave Temple for a stunning view of the nature around us.
